Van Morrison is hitting the road in 2018-19 and kicking it all off on August 14th in San Francisco, CA.
Born in Northern Ireland in 1945, Van Morrison is an international famous singer and songwriter who has given us songs such as “Brown Eyed Girl” and “Jackie Wilson Said (I’m in Heaven When You Smile)” over the years. In 2016, he was knighted for his musical achievements and his services to tourism and charitable causes in Northern Ireland.
Morrison began his music career as a young boy by learning to play multiple instruments such as guitar, harmonica, keyboards and saxophone. He rose to fame as the lead singer of the Northern Irish R&B band, Them. In 1967, he decided to venture out as a solo artist by the release of his hit single, “Brown Eyed Girl”. He has received six Grammy Awards, the 1994 Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music, and has been inducted into both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
