Judas Priest is a metal band from Birmingham, England. The band busted out on the scene in 1980 with their album, British Steel. Judas Priest was made famous for their use of twin lead guitars.
Deep Purple are a rock band formed in Hertford in 1968. Originally formed as a progressive rock band, the band shifted to a heavier sound in 1970. They are considered to be among the pioneers of heavy metal and modern hard rock. Deep Purple, together with Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath, have been referred to as the “unholy trinity of British hard rock and heavy metal in the early to mid-70’s”.
Deep Purple has sold over 100 million albums worldwide.
Deep Purple have had several line-up changes over the years and Ian Paice is the only original Deep Purple member still in the band. Right now, Deep Purple is Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Ian Paice, Steve Morse and Don Airey. Deep Purple were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016.
