Weezer is a rock band formed in Los Angeles, CA, currently consisting of Rivers Cuomo (lead vocals, lead guitar), Patrick Wilson (drums), Brian Bell (rhythm guitar, backing vocals, keyboards), and Scott Shriner (bass, backing vocals). Weezer has sold 9.2 million albums in the US and over 17 million worldwide.
Formed in 1986 in Boston, MA, the Pixies are an American alternative rock band formed in 1986 in Boston, Massachusetts. Until 2013, the band comprised Black Francis, Joey Santiago, Kim Shattuck, Paz Lenchantin, and David Lovering. The band took a ten year break from 1993 to 2004 but are now back together and selling concert tickets to venues nationwide. Their music is described as psychedelia, noise pop, hard rock, surf pop, and surf rock. The Pixies gained massive success in the United Kingdom and their music influenced bands such as Nirvana, Radiohead, the Strokes, Blur and Weezer.
