Ben Folds and Cake are hitting the road together in 2018 and kicking it all off on August 13th in Boston, MA.
Ben Folds is a pianist and songwriter from Winston-Salem, NC. In 1994, he formed the trio Ben Folds Five with Robert Sledge and Darren Jessee. In 1995, Ben Folds Five released their self-titled debut album. Their second album, Whatever and Ever Amen, gave the world their hit singles, “Brick”, “Song for the Dumped”, and “Battle of Who Could Care Less”. After the group temporarily disbanded, Folds performed as a solo artist and has toured all over the world and tickets to his concert sold out quickly.
Formed in 1991, Cake is an alternative rock band from Sacramento, CA. The band consists of John McCrea, Vince DiFiore, Xan McCurdy, Daniel McCallum and Todd Roper. The band genres include country music, Mariachi, rock, funk, Iranian folk music and hip hop. Their first single, “Rock ‘n’ Roll Lifestyle”, rose the band to fame. Their third album, Prolonging the Magic, went platinum, having shipped over one million units.
