Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter is a singer, songwriter and actress from Houston, TX. She is the daughter of, Mathew Knowles, who also became the singer’s daughter. After performing on Star Search, the winning group went through several line up and name changes, eventually settling on Knowles and Destiny’s Child. The group was made up of her cousin Kelly Rowland, LeToya Luckett, and LaTavia Roberson. From 1998 to 2005, the group went on to release four albums (Destiny’s Child, The Writings on the Wall, Survivor) and became one of the world’s best-selling girl groups of all time.

Inn 2010, Beyonce earned a record-setting six Grammy Awards for her album I Am… Sasha Fierce (2008), which was inspired by her husband Jay-Z, and included the Song of the Year for “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)”.
In 2010 she fired her father and manager, Mathew Knowles, and took over her own career. Throughout her career so far, she has sold over 100 million records as a solo artist, and a further 60 million with Destiny’s Child, making her one of the best-selling music artists of all time. She has won 20 Grammy Awards and is the most nominated woman in the award’s history.
Jay-Z is a rapper, record producer, and entrepreneur. He is one of the most financially successful hip hop artists and entrepreneurs in America. In 2014, Forbes estimated Jay Z’s net worth at nearly $520 million. He is one of the world’s best-selling artists of all time, having sold more than 100 million records, while receiving 21 Grammy Awards for his musical work, and numerous additional nominations. Three of his albums, Reasonable Doubt (1996), The Blueprint (2001), and The Black Album (2003), are considered landmarks in the genre.
