Founded in Portland, OR, The Decemberists are an indie rock band consisting of Colin Meloy, Chris Funk, Jenny Conlee, Nate Query, and John Moen. The Decemberists are known for their live shows and the audience participation. In 2011, the track “Down By the Water” from the album The King Is Dead was nominated for Best Rock Song at the 54th Grammy Awards.
