Born in Douglas, GA in 1974, Jennifer Nettles, is a Nashville country music superstar. Growing up, Nettles performed music at her church, school assemblies, and at her local community theater. Nettles attended Agnes Scott College in Decatur, GA where she met Cory Jones and formed the band Soul Miner’s Daughter. After their brief existence, she went on to form the Jennifer Nettles Band which released 3 albums.
In 2003, Nettles met a guitar player and songwriter by the name of Kristian Bush and singer Karen Hall. The three formed Sugarland and released the single “Baby Girl” which instantly brought country music fame to the band. After the release of their debut album, Twice the Speed of Life, Hall left the band.
In 2010, the duo decided to take a break and both have had success as solo artists. Nettles released, That Girl, in 2014 and is also acting and hosting shows such as the CMA Country Christmas show.
