Straight out of Harlem, NY, Henry Saint Clair Fredericks who uses the stage name Taj Mahal, is self-taught blues musician. He often incorporates elements of world music into his works. He plays the guitar, piano, banjo and harmonica (among many other instruments). His music incorporated sounds from the Caribbean, Africa and the South Pacific into his music.
